1938 MT TA FOR SALE
This vehicle resides at my vacation home in Eastsound, Washington. I drive it when visiting there three to four times a year.
The TA was purchased in England by an American Air Force aviator as his driver. He loved the car so much that he brought it stateside to his California home when he retired. I purchased the car many years ago from his son when his father passed away because he wanted the car to go to an MG home. For more information on me see www.holleywoodfarm.com.
It runs very smoothly, although driven very little. A new battery along with a fresh tank of fuel are all that are currently needed.
Unrestored, but sound and road worthy, are appropriate descriptions. The TA is an unique MG model that is not fraught with some of the problems that the later designs are known for such as: The MG TCs tend to twist and bend and MG TFs tend to overheat. The 1938 850cc engine was built for hill climb racing and this car definitely outperforms both my TC and TF. The narrower body also gives more stability than the similar but wider MG TC. But this well-engineered pre-war model still has the styling that made the MG TC a classic and much sought after.
My reserve is not only based on current market conditions, but the uniqueness of owning a TA as well.
Good luck to all who are interested. I'm quite certain you will not be disappointed.
